| Apache The Apache HTTP Server Project is an effort to develop and maintain
an open-source HTTP server for modern operating systems including UNIX
and Windows NT. The goal of this project is to provide a secure,
efficient and extensible server that provides HTTP services in sync
with the current HTTP standards.
Apache has been the most popular web server on the Internet since
April 1996. The November 2005 Netcraft Web Server Survey
found that more than 70% of the web sites on the Internet are using Apache,
thus making it more widely used than all other web servers combined.
The Apache HTTP Server is a project of the Apache Software Foundation.

| Jetty Jetty is a 100% Java HTTP
Server and Servlet Container. This means that you do not need to
configure and run a separate web server (like Apache) in order to use
java, servlets and JSPs to generate dynamic content. Jetty is a fully
featured web server for static and dynamic content. Unlike separate
server/container solutions, this means that your web server and web
application run in the same process, without interconnection overheads
and complications. Furthermore, as a pure java component, Jetty can be
simply included in your application for demonstration, distribution or
deployment. Jetty is available on all Java supported platforms.
